Crucial Proposal of NDC of DPRK Hailed by Nepalese Paper
Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Nepalese paper Arpan carried an article titled "Peace and war drills can never go together" on Jan. 31.

The paper noted:

The National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK proposed the south Korean authorities to take practical measures to create a climate for mending the inter-Korean relations and protect security and peace of the nation.

Peace is desired by all Koreans.

All Koreans desire peace, not a war, and co-existence and common interests of the north and the south, not division and confrontation.

Peace is prerequisite to the existence and development of the Korean nation but war drills are a main factor of threatening its existence hour by hour.

If another war breaks out on the Korean peninsula, this would bring horrible disasters to the Korean nation.

Peace provides a sure guarantee for Korea's reunification and common prosperity of the nation.

However, the south Korean authorities, defying these urgent requirements of the reality, are going to stage large-scale Key Resolve and Foal Eagle with the U.S. against the DPRK from late in February.

Peace and war drills can never go together.
