The reporter said: Kim Jong Il brought about a radical turn in editorial writing in the party paper 40 years ago, a historic event which helped dynamically advance the cause of modeling whole society on Kimilsungism by effecting a great change in the party's ideological work.

Under his leadership Rodong Sinmun has dramatically changed its appearance as the paper of the leader, the ideological vanguard of the Songun revolution.

He meticulously guided all the issues related to writing editorials and thereby made the flames of the editorial revolution, paper revolution unprecedented in history rage furiously in the party paper and brought about a fundamental turn in the work of the party media.

During the arduous march, the forced march when the Korean revolution was facing grim ordeals, he tightly held a writing brush along with arms of Songun and directed big efforts to enhancing the function of the party paper.

Under his energetic guidance the political and ideological power of the party paper was augmented in every way and Rodong Sinmun could powerfully inspire the cause of the Songun revolution, the cause of building a thriving nation in the van of the ideological front of the party.

His idea of attaching importance to writing brush and his leadership are being given steady continuity by supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

The wise guidance of Kim Jong Un, who is successfully carrying forward the undying revolutionary feats of Kim Jong Il, is becoming a basic source to help the party paper make a new revolution in editorial writing and bring about a revolutionary turn in editing and publishing the party paper.

The reporter called upon all journalists, editors and employees of the party paper to give steady continuity to the proud history and tradition of the revolution in editorial writing in the 1970s in the present general advance to usher in the prosperity of Songun Korea and thus successfully discharge the honorable mission and duties they assumed before the party and revolution.
