It will be held at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre and the Yun I Sang Concert Hall, divided into 12 sectors including national stringed musical instrument, national vocal music, piano and dance.

It will be attended by Pyongyang and local art organizations, overseas Koreans art troupes and artistes, teachers and students in the field of art education.

An opening ceremony took place at the National Theatre on Thursday.

Han Chol, vice-minister of Culture, in his opening address called upon all artistes and teachers to further enhance their art skills and bring about changes in the work to train art talents, remaining loyal to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and thus dynamically arouse all service personnel and people to a giant struggle to build a thriving nation.
