The Malaysian paper Guang Ming Daily on Feb. 8 carried an article titled "The greatest exploit" illustrated with a photo of Kim Jong Il inspecting the Dwarf Pine Post of the Korean People's Army.

The paper said:

The greatest exploit of Kim Jong Il is that he protected socialist Korea and turned the DPRK into a political and ideological power in which the people achieved single-minded unity and a nuclear weapons state by pursuing the Songun politics.

At the end of the last century the DPRK could not but undergo the worst hardships and trials due to the unexpected demise of President Kim Il Sung, a series of natural disasters and escalated moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK.

After basing himself with a scientific analysis of the prevailing situation, Kim Jong Il held higher the banner of Songun.

He was, indeed, the sun of Songun who protected the sovereignty of the country and exalted the dignity of the nation in the hardest period.

The Bangladeshi paper Bangla Times on Feb. 7 carried an article titled "Kim Jong Il's patriotism" accompanied with the portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

Noting his love for the country was most sincere and ardent, the paper said that Kim Jong Il's patriotism serves as a beacon and compass which help all the Korean people take the road of genuine patriotism.

The Indonesian paper Suara Karya on the same day carried an article praising him for establishing the state structure system with the National Defence Commission as its pivot, providing a firm legal guarantee for the Songun politics and bringing about an eternal foundation for the everlasting prosperity of the DPRK.
