Unity of S. Korean Progressive Forces Called for

Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Members of different organizations of south Korea including the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon), the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy and the Solidarity for Progress and other figures held a meeting in Seoul on February 13 calling for the unity of the progressive forces, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Thongil News.

Speakers at the meeting said that they keenly realized the might of the solidarity struggle and its importance through the struggle of of people of all social strata for supporting the detained members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon.

When all people get united, the might will be very strong, they said.

They noted that damage will affect the whole nation and forces of the democratic movement if a reunification movement organization is suppressed as long as the "Security Law" is allowed to be maintained. They called for struggling in unity.
