Swiss Political Party Urges S. Korean Authorities to Accept Crucial Proposal of DPRK

Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- The Communist Party of Italian-Speaking Region in Switzerland sent a letter to the south Korean embassy in Switzerland on Feb. 1 supporting the crucial proposal of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK and opposing the projected U.S.-S. Korean joint military drills.

Noting the crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPRK is one for promoting cooperation and common well-being, the letter said:

And the projected joint war drills of the U.S. and south Korean authorities are very unreasonable.

Those war drills will not only imperil the stability and peace in the region but also do harm to the south Korean people.

We urge the south Korean authorities to stop provocation and hostile acts, respect the June 15 north-south joint declaration and the October 4 declaration for peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula and respond to the crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPRK.

We hope the south Korean authorities would accept our demand.
