Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Chinese and overseas Koreans who are taking part in the 18th Kimjongilia Festival visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. They were Yang Hongzhun, general manager of the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Greenhouse in Hunchun, China, Liu Chensheng, board director of the Shenyang Korean Trade and Investment Consulting Co. Ltd., Choe Ryong Ho, vice-president of Yanbian University of Science and Technology of China, and Ri Yong Ho, managing director of the Dandong Shengmin Trading Co. Ltd., China, and their parties. They looked round the historic relics preserved with much care in the old home of the President in Mangyongdae, being briefed on the glorious revolutionary history of the President and his families. They went round the revolutionary sites on Mangyong Hill. At the end of the visit Liu Chensheng said: Whenever I visit Mangyongdae, I feel something fresh here in the holy site of the revolution. Kim Il Sung embarked on the road of revolution in his teens to liberate the country. Today I am deeply impressed by the fact that Marshal Kim Jong Un is carrying forward the revolutionary cause and leading the building of a thriving nation. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the President, who liberated the country and brought happiness to the Korean people. Ri Yong Ho said his visit to Mangyongdae made him feel stronger yearning for the President, adding: Kim Il Sung was born in a simple farmhouse and left his birthplace in his teens to make a revolution for the liberation of the country and nation. I picture to myself the image of Kim Il Sung waging a bloody struggle for the revolution. I also think of the President's grandparents looking forward to the day of the liberation of the country at the brushwood gate of the old home in Mangyongdae. They also visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, Unha Scientists' Street and other places. |
