A meeting for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star was held by the association.

Present at the meeting were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and officials of the association, representatives of the affiliated organizations, compatriots in China, the DPRK consul general in Shenyang and Chinese personages.

Choe Un Bok in her report praised the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il as the one of the great Songun brilliant commander and the great father.

The benevolent image of Kim Jong Il who led compatriots living in an alien land to invariably take the road of patriotism, not forgetting them even a moment, is always cherished in the hearts of all Koreans in China, she said.

The Songun politics, politics of loving the people pursued by Marshal Kim Jong Un who is identical to President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il is exciting the whole nation and the world and indicating the bright future of Songun Korea which will prosper, she noted.

She vowed to more firmly build the General Association of Koreans in China into the overseas compatriots organization of Juche. She expressed the will to make positive contributions to achieving the great unity of the nation this year.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

At the end of the meeting the participants watched a Korean film documenting the Songun revolutionary feats of Kim Jong Un.

Then followed an art performance, photo and book exhibition and reception for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star.

There took place meetings, photo and book exhibitions and lectures of Koreans in China in Beijing and Shenyang on Feb. 10 and 11.
