Displayed in the front of the venue of the exhibition was a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

On display there were photos showing Kim Jong Il taking warm care of the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan and pictures documenting immortal revolutionary exploits of Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

Among the visitors were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Nam Sung U, Pae Ik Ju and Pak Ku Ho, vice-chairmen of the committee, Pae Jin Gu, vice-chairman and concurrently director general of the General Affairs Department of the same committee, advisors and directors of the committee, head of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan, senior officials of the organizations and enterprises, chairpersons of the headquarters of Chongryon in Kanto.

Meantime, a seminar was held by the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan at the Korean Press Hall in Tokyo on Friday to celebrate the Day of the Shining Star.
