Floral Baskets Laid before Statues of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Service personnel and people of the DPRK are paying high tribute to leader Kim Jong Il on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Service personnel, people and school youth and children paid homage to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the portraits of smiling President and leader across the country. Seen standing before their statues on Mansu Hill was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. Laid before the statues were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, organs and enterprises at all levels, factories, farms, schools, etc. in Pyongyang and bouquets and flowers. Also laid there was a floral basket in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front. The participants paid tribute to the statues of the peerlessly great men, recollecting their revolutionary careers and undying feats. The statues and portraits at Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, Ministry of People's Security, Mansudae Art Studio and other places of Pyongyang drew an endless stream of visitors. Laid before the statues and portraits were floral baskets in the name of the units of the KPA, organs, enterprises, etc. and bouquets and flowers. Service personnel, people and school youth and children across the country paid homage to the statues and portraits. |
