The performance began with female solo and chorus "Cantata to Comrade Kim Jong Il". Put on the stage were chorus "Attraction and Reverence", violin ensemble "General Applies Art of Compressing Space", male solo and female pangchang "Tell, O Road of Songun" and other colorful numbers.

The performers sang high praises of the feats Kim Jong Il performed for the party and the revolution, the country and people by leading the Korean revolution and construction along the road of steady victories.

Unaccompanied chorus "Ode to the Motherland" mesmerized the audience with famous words and sublime and solemn music instilling patriotic enthusiasm into all people.

The performance reached its climax when artistes presented female quartet "The Care of Thee Is Best", female sextet "We Cannot Live without Him" and female solo and chorus "Party's Flag, Always together with You."

They impressively represented the deep trust of all service personnel and people in Marshal Kim Jong Un who is creating new legends about noble love for the people and love for the future.

Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam and other senior party, state and army officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, meritorious persons and Pyongyangites, overseas compatriots and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.
