Koreans in U.S. Condemn Military Exercises on Korean Peninsula

| Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- Koreans in the U.S. held round-table talks and a seminar on the theme of peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula in Los Angeles, the U.S. on Jan. 24 and 25, according to Minjok Thongsin, an internet paper of the Koreans in the U.S. The speakers said that agreements between the north and the south should be implemented to turn the inter-Korean relations into those of reconciliation and cooperation. They insisted that south Korea-U.S. joint military exercises should not be allowed to be held as the exercises threaten the peace on the peninsula. They demanded the south Korean authorities abandon the May 24 measure and make efforts for the national reunification. |
