S. Korean Lawmaker from Opposition Party Sentenced to Heavy Penalty

Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- The Suwon District Court of south Korea held a trial of Ri Sok Gi, lawmaker from the Unified Progressive Party (UPP) and sentenced him to 12 years prison term on Feb. 17, according to the south Korean KBS.

The spokesman for UPP denounced the court judgment as a murder by the abuse of judicial power.

Not only the prosecution but the judicial authorities decided to serve the present "government's" ambition for permanent stay in power, he disclosed.

All people know that the recent sentence is pursuant to the intention of the present "government" to eliminate the UPP which it regards as a thorn in its flesh.
