He took part in a memorial service for Ri Nam Jong who burned himself to death in demand of correct probe into the truth behind the fraudulent election in December last year. He committed self-immolation in protest against the election rigging after carrying on an action, holding placard reading "fraudulent election with government power involved" on a road of Seoul.
