Rodong Sinmun Reveals U.S. Intention in Getting Vocal about "Nuclear and Missile Threat" from DPRK
Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Lockleaer, commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific, apparently referring to the DPRK, said that "threat" to south Korea and the world is intolerable and the U.S. is prepared to defend not only its own but its allies. He cried out for strengthening cooperation with Japan and even with south Korea in building a missile shield to cope with "threat" from the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes in a commentary in this regard:

The "threat" from the DPRK touted by nuclear war maniacs, who turned south Korea into the biggest nuclear arsenal in the Far East, is sophism to cover up their sinister aim.

The U.S. seeks wicked aim in spreading the story of the non-existent "nuclear and missile threat". Its final aim is to contain the DPRK and countries around it with strength and, furthermore, realize its wild ambition to dominate the world.

One major aim sought by the U.S. in its defense strategy is to form an encirclement ring and prevent by armed forces big powers in Asia from growing up to be its rivals.

Lockleaer underlined the "importance" of strengthened cooperation with Japan and south Korea for security, only revealing his design to establish the U.S.-Japan-south Korea tripartite military alliance.

Whatever rhetoric the hostile forces may let loose, the DPRK will do what it has to do.

Invariable is its stand and principle to answer the U.S. dialogue with dialogue and hard-line step with the toughest measure, concludes the commentary.
