Day of Shining Star Marked by Koreans in Uzbekistan

| Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- An event took place at the DPRK embassy in Uzbekistan to lay a floral basket and bouquets before the full-length painting of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il standing together on February 16, the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star). Present there were Ju Yong Il, chairman of the Uzbekistan "Old Persons" Association for Korean Cultural Tradition, officials, heads of art troupes of compatriots and other Koreans. The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the painting and paid tribute. And they went round the venue of a photo exhibition on the theme of "Comrade Kim Jong Il, great leader of the Korean people". |
