The statement recalled that when the north and the south were reaching an agreement on the reunion of the separated families and their relatives, the U.S. nuclear-capable B-52s conducted bombing drills in the sky above Jik islet in the West Sea of Korea. It urged the "government" to clarify its intention.

This is a self-revelation of the true colors of the "government" and the U.S. which used to urge the north to show "sincerity", it said, adding such behavior of the "government" will only escalate conflict and tension.

The statement urged the present regime to make a resolute determination to cancel the projected joint military drills that screw up military tension in order to ensure peace on the Korean peninsula.
