Kim Jong Un Receives Congratulatory Message from Brazilian Communist Party

| Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), received a congratulatory message from Renato Ravello, national chairman of the Central Committee of the Brazilian Communist Party (BCP), and Ricardo Alemao Abreu, its international secretary, on February 16. The message extended respects to Kim Jong Un on behalf of the BCP on the occasion of the 72nd birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the WPK. We look back with deep emotion upon the whole life of Kim Jong Il dedicated to freedom of the heroic Korean people, peace and independence, the message said. Kim Jong Il, outstanding revolutionary, held aloft the banner of independence, banner of anti-imperialist struggle and banner of building a socialist state with thriving economy in the DPRK by reflecting the interests and demand of the popular masses, it added. He defended the socialist gains of the country with dignity, it noted. We pay sincere tribute to Kim Jong Il on behalf of the BCP, the message said, extending fraternal greetings to Kim Jong Un. |
