Present there on invitation were Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs, Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University who doubles as minister of Higher Education, and officials concerned.

Tammam Sulaiman said that it is the greatest exploit of Kim Jong Il that he put the dignity of the country and nation on a highest ground by pursuing the Songun politics.

He referred to the fact that the army and people of the DPRK are working world-startling miracles in building a prosperous country true to the leadership of supreme leader Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the noble intention of Kim Jong Il.

He stressed that Syria will invariably support the Korean people's cause of justice on the international arena.

Pak Ui Chun emphasized that Kim Jong Il is the image of the motherland of Juche and great Paektusan nation and eternal sun of the era of independence unanimously admired by the progressive humankind.

He noted that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries are growing stronger under the care of Kim Jong Un and Bashar Al－Assad, president of Syria.

He expressed the conviction that the DPRK will as ever extend full support and solidarity to the Syrian government and people in their struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve the territorial integrity.
