Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises targeting the DPRK are the grave military provocation escalating the confrontation and tensions on the Korean peninsula and checking the improvement of the north-south relations and progress of the cause of national reunification.

This time, too, the U.S. is trying hard to cover the provocative nature and danger of the above-said exercises while advertising them as "annual" ones and "drills putting focus on defense".

It is talking about "support" to improved inter-Korean relations. It "hailed" the reunion of separated families and their relatives between the north and the south.

The U.S. secretary of State, who recently visited south Korea, insistently told the south Korean authorities that the exercises should be staged as planned. This is not only a deliberate ploy to ruin the opportunity for mending the north-south ties created by sincere efforts of the DPRK but also a coarse pressure for making the south Korean authorities not to opt for mending the relations with the DPRK. It is also a vicious challenge to the sincere efforts of the DPRK to ensure the detente and peace on the Korean peninsula and achieve the independent reunification, peace and prosperity by the concerted efforts of Koreans.

All Koreans in the north, the south and abroad should not allow the moves of warmongers at home and abroad who are persistently resorting to the war racket against the DPRK but check and frustrate them by dint of unity, the article concluded.
