Present at the event were Sok Myong Son, chairman of the International United Confederation of Koreans; Ju Yong Il, chairman of the "Old Men" Association for Korean Cultural Tradition in Uzbekistan; and other officials, heads of compatriots art troupes and Koreans.

Speakers said that they are looking back with deep emotion on the undying exploits Kim Jong Il performed on behalf of the country and its people on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star, the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation.

They referred to the fact that great development has been made in the motherland under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un as the days go by.

They said compatriots will dynamically turn out in the patriotic movement for national reunification to carry out the tasks for reunification set forth by Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address.

Then followed a performance given by Korean artistes there.
