Day of Shining Star Observed by Foreign Organizations
Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Organizations of various countries posted special write-ups on their websites from February 7 to 15 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star).

The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK posted articles on the feats of Kim Jong Il, illustrated with photos documenting the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un and photos of the birthplace of Kim Jong Il at the secret camp in Mt. Paektu and Kimjongilia.

An article titled "Man believed in the people as in Heaven" said that Kim Jong Il devoted his all to the people all his life, regarding it as his motto to believe in them as in Heaven. It went on:

To improve the people's living standard was his greatest desire.

He passed away in a train due to the accumulated mental and physical strain while giving ceaseless field guidance for the people's happiness with his superhuman energy.

His image as the benevolent father will always be remembered by the Korean people.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association posted an article, accompanied with his photo, which said:

He smashed the moves of imperialists and reactionaries keen on stifling the DPRK while making a fuss over the "end of socialism" and led the struggle for defending socialism to victory.

After the President passed away unexpectedly, he had carried forward the idea and cause of the President without an inch of deflection.

A German organization posted an article illustrated with his photo. The article praised him for glorifying the immortal Juche idea as the eternal guiding idea in the era of independence.
