"Missile Threat" Comes from US: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific let loose a spate of vituperation that the DPRK's nukes and missiles are threatening the world, and the U.S. should strengthen cooperation with Japan in the missile defense system (MD) to cope with it. Earlier, dignitaries of the U.S. military blustered that the DPRK's missiles are posing the biggest "threat" in the Asian region, crying out for intensifying the MD to cope with it. Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in an article in this regard: The U.S. is talking about "defense" while vociferating about "threat" from the DPRK. This is aimed to make the non-existent missile "threat" from the DPRK a fait accompli and justify the moves for building the MD designed to dominate the world. The missile threat in the Asia-Pacific region is coming from the U.S. The U.S. claims that the MD is aimed to prevent the DPRK's missile attack, but this is a poor excuse. The U.S. is trying hard to make such a fiction as the non-existent missile "threat" from the DPRK in a bid to justify the moves for arms buildup and the establishment of the MD in the Asia-Pacific region. The U.S. reckless moves are aggravating the situation of the region and sparking off a new Cold War. The U.S. is sadly mistaken. The U.S. is trying to justify its criminal moves while talking about the missile "threat" from the DPRK, but no country will be taken in by this. If the U.S. persists in its military racket while justifying its acts, it will be isolated and rejected worldwide. |
