Japan's Moves for Grabbing Islets and Distorting History Slammed

Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Kangwon Provincial "Assembly" held a meeting in Chunchon on Feb. 20 denouncing Japan for scheming to grab Tok Islets and distorting history, according to KBS of south Korea. Japan is resorting to provocations as regards the issue of Tok Islets, the "assembly" said, demanding Japan immediately cancel the plan to stage a ceremony for celebrating the "day of Takeshima (Tok Islets)". It also urged Japan to make an apology for its past crimes against mankind including the crimes related to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and stop at once the acts of visiting the Yasukuni Shrine and distorting history textbooks. |
