S. Korea's Moves for Conclusion of Shackling Agreement Denounced

Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- Personages of the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and those of organizations comprising people of all social standings held a press conference in Seoul on Feb. 21 at which they denounced the south Korean authorities for their moves to conclude the shackling agreement with the U.S., according to the south Korean internet newspaper Thongil News.

The speakers at the conference accused the "government" of submitting to the "National Assembly" a motion calling for the ratification of a special agreement on sharing the upkeep of the U.S. forces on Feb. 7.

They urged the NA to turn down the motion, noting that it is, in a nutshell, a "humiliating one as it means drain on resources for the U.S."

At the end of the press conference the participants thrust a document signed by more than 1,200 figures of all social standings to the NA.
