Families and relatives from the north side met their kith and kin from the south side on Feb. 23.

Separated from each other for such a long period owing to the national division imposed upon them by foreign forces, they embraced each other and conveyed tidings each other, sharing kindred feelings.

Those from the north told with deep emotion their kith and kin from the south about their dignified and proud lives under the care of the DPRK and the loving care shown by it.

Families and relatives from the south side were deeply moved to hear what those from the north told them and see orders and medals they received for their devoted services made for the prosperity of the country.

The Red Cross of south Korea hosted a reception for those families and relatives from the north and the south that day.

Feeling regretful at parting, they promised each other to make positive efforts to achieve the reunification of the country in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself in order to bring earlier the day when they will live together in happiness in the one and same territory.
