The statement referred to the fact that a climate for improved relations between the north and the south is being created and the reunion of separated families and relatives took place in conformity with the unanimous desire and wish of the fellow countrymen.

Under this situation the U.S. kicked up Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises aimed to bring a dark cloud of war, a move to throw a wet blanket over such climate and harass the peace and national reunification, the statement said, and went on:

Even if Washington craftily tries to hide the provocative and aggressive nature of the military exercises, it cannot cover up the danger of the exercises behind which its sinister attempt is lurked.

Any Korean, who loves the country and nation, should never tolerate it but turn out as one in the struggle to check and frustrate Washington's arrogant and vicious moves for a war against the DPRK.

Peace doesn't come of its own accord and the fierce struggle for peace against war is the only way to check and foil the war moves of the warmongers at home and abroad.

All the members of the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China will rise up as one in the nationwide struggle to resolutely smash the U.S. scenario for a war against the DPRK and pave a wide avenue for improved north-south relations to defend the security and peace of the nation.
