Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- More than 3,000 members of the Unified Progressive Party of south Korea held an emergency meeting and vowed to turn out in the struggle against dictatorship, according to Jaju Minbo, the south Korean internet paper, on Feb. 24. They said that the trial of those involved in the plotted rebellion case is a declaration of war against the people desirous of democracy and progressive politics and a signal for dissolving a progressive political party. Dictatorship is followed by resistance, they said, adding that people will no longer remain a passive onlooker to the moves to revive dictatorship and obstruct democracy. They stressed that they would wage an all-out struggle together with the people in protest against the authorities' moves to crack down upon the progressive political party. |
