Present there were Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, members of the C.C., the Journalists Union of Korea, leading officials, journalists and editors of the media organs in Pyongyang and local areas.

The meeting underscored the need for the media persons to successfully fulfill their mission and duty as buglers for advance in the drive for raising a strong wind of a great leaping forward on all fronts of building a thriving nation through a revolutionary ideological offensive.

Cha Sung Su, chairman of the C.C., Journalists Union, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said the speech made by Marshal Kim Jong Un at the 8th Conference of Ideological Workers of the Workers' Party of Korea serves as a great programme for media persons and an all-powerful treasured sword for fully ensuring the victory of the Korean revolution by dint of ideology.

They underlined the need for the media persons to kindle a torch in the field of media and stage an intensive media offensive, information and agitation campaigns, bearing deep in mind the intention of Kim Jong Un to bring earlier the final victory of the revolution by holding more tightly the powerful weapon -- the Juche-oriented theory of ideology.

A resolution was adopted at the meeting.
