What caught one's eye in the festival was the outdoor solar lamp system based on nano-technology, with its solar battery made in the country.

In this regard, Kim Yong Jo, a researcher of the Electronics Faculty of the university, told KCNA:

The university developed nano-filmed solar battery, which is called second-generation solar battery worldwide, with raw materials available in the country. It also succeeded in putting the production of solar battery on an industrial basis.

Its production cost is low with technical indexes improved. Its design can be easily altered to suit installation sites.

The system has been installed in streets, parks and recreation grounds.
