Papers Urge Japan to Liquidate Its Past Crimes as Early as Possible
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- If Japan has a scrap of conscience, it should honestly admit all the unethical crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists including massacres of Koreans like the suppression of the March First Popular Uprising and made an apology and reparation for them, says DPRK papers in articles Saturday.

Rodong Sinmun says:

The acts of exterminating tribes and races committed by suzerain states in their colonies are being called into question in the new century, too, and there increase the moves to force those countries properly redeem their crimes.

However, Japan is trying to evade the settlement of its past crimes by resorting to sleight of hand. Instead it is denying and distorting history.

This proves what extent the shamelessness and inhumanity of those vulgar in morality have reached to evade the blame for the past crimes and avoid their liquidation at any cost.

The Japanese reactionaries should clearly know that the Korean people remain unchanged in their will to force Japan to pay for the past crimes. Japan mercilessly violated the sovereignty and dignity of the Korean nation and imposed untold misfortunes and sufferings upon it.

Minju Joson says that all misfortunes and sufferings which the Japanese imperialists imposed upon the Korean people by illegally occupying Korea and enforcing the unheard-of harsh colonial rule can never be pardoned.
