Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Jean-Jacques Candelye, member of the National Assembly of France, sent a letter to Laurent Fabius, foreign minister of France, on February 25 demanding the French government pay special attention to the DPRK's proposal for peace. Recalling that the stand of the DPRK for mending the north-south relations was clarified in the New Year Address made by supreme leader Kim Jong Un and the crucial proposal of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK, the letter said: As regards the crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPRK, France should pay due attention to the DPRK's initiative for peace. France should support the DPRK's proposals in the international arena including the UN Security Council. The letter demanded the government make positive efforts to ensure peace and disarmament on the Korean peninsula and stop the U.S.-south Korea joint military drills escalating tensions there, in particular. |
