The festival is divided into sections for public presentation, exhibition and exchange of new technologies, with the attendance of scores of units in the city, including scientific institutes, educational institutions and industrial establishments.

On display at the festival venue are sci-tech data conducive to building an economic power and improving the people's livelihood and more than 250 kinds of high-tech products in forms of object, model and diagram.

Among the exhibits are broad-spectrum compound growth promoter for crops, production process of meat-flavored soy sauce and four- and five-dimensional garment design.

An air-cooled plasma cutter, presented by Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, has been introduced to a number of units for its high economic value.

There are also a CT survey meter with a port for laptop, which is very effective for geological prospecting, and a method of planting pine-nut tree in summer that helps cultivate saplings in a shorter period while ensuring more than 80 percent of the rate of rooting.

The festival will last till Friday.
