Minju Joson Slams U.S. for Introducing Nuclear Submarine into S. Korea

Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- The U.S. introduced its nuclear-propelled submarine Columbus and flagship of the 7th Fleet Blue Ridge into the Pusan naval operation base of south Korea on Monday. Minju Joson Friday in a commentary says in this regard: The U.S. opened to public the port call of its warships for aggression. This cannot be merely interpreted as a military demonstration. Lurking behind this is its sinister political scheme. Voices calling for the improved north-south relations are more loudly ringing out at home and abroad with the recent reunion of separated families and relatives as a momentum. South Korean people, in particular, are strongly demanding a halt to the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military drills which seriously threaten the improved inter-Korean relations. This trend of the times is hindering the moves of the U.S. to carry out its strategy for hegemony as it intends to dominate the whole of Korea with south Korea as a springboard and, furthermore, take control over the Asia-Pacific region. Proceeding from this, the U.S. is leaving no stone unturned to mar the hard-won atmosphere for improving the inter-Korean relations. What it is seeking is to irritate the DPRK and induce it to take a military countermeasure in a bid to kick up an anti-DPRK smear campaign by labeling the DPRK a "provocateur". This is evidenced by the fact that the U.S. openly introduced its warships for aggression after letting B-52s fly into the sky above south Korea in February for drills for dropping nuclear bombs. The U.S. warmongers had better bear in mind that their moves to ignite a war of aggression against the DPRK will lead to their self-destruction. |
