The statement accused the U.S. and south Korea of staging Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises for aggression despite a strong protest by the Koreans and the peace-loving people of the world.

Terming these exercises nuclear war drills which involve huge forces, the statement went on:

Key Resolve and Foal Eagle chilled the climate for improving the north-south relations and laid a stumbling block in the way of ensuring peace and security on the Korean peninsula.

Looking back on history, the U.S. is the worst criminal state which has disturbed democracy, peace and security and caused national splits and pursued racial discrimination in various parts of the world.

The U.S. imperialists divided Korea into two parts and provoked the Korean War in 1950. They made no scruple of perpetrating invasion of other countries.

It is the only way of ensuring peace on the peninsula for the U.S. to immediately discontinue joint military exercises against the DPRK and withdraw nuclear war hardware from south Korea and its vicinity.

The New Yugoslav Communist Party firmly believes that the Korean people will resolutely foil the U.S. imperialists' maneuvers to stifle the DPRK and win a shining victory in their struggle to defend socialism under the steersmanship of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

It will also fully support the Korean people in their struggle against imperialism.

The New Yugoslav Communist Party calls upon all peace-loving people of the world to extend full support to the measures taken by the DPRK to protect the sovereignty and dignity of the country from the moves of the U.S. to stifle the DPRK.
