Seen standing before the bust was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Attending the wreath-laying ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, commissions and national institutions, service personnel, bereaved family members and citizens.

Wreaths were laid before the bust in the name of the C.C., WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet.

Also laid before the bust were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, commissions, national institutions, party and power bodies in the city.

The participants made a silent tribute to Kim Il, who was boundlessly loyal to the party and the leader and devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and freedom and happiness of the people with the transparent revolutionary outlook on the leader till the last moments of his life.
