Promising Taekwon-Do Player of DPRK
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Kim Chol Hak of the North Hwanghae Provincial Taekwon-Do Team in the DPRK is the world champion in the sparring event of Taekwon-Do.

Kim, now 20, defeated all his rivals in the men's 50kg category individual sparring at the 18th World Taekwon-Do Championships last year. He also took the title in the class-A men's 51kg category individual sparring of the 10th World Juvenile Taekwon-Do Championships in Juche 101 (2012).

He began to learn playing Taekwon-Do when he was in the second year of secondary school.

Three years after joining in the system of training reserve players, he won in a national Taekwon-Do contest and then became world champion in the juvenile group in six years.

His rapid development has aroused admiration from among the experts. His forte is quick movement, strong fist strike and footwork of high technique.

The DPRK awarded the title of Merited Athlete to him for having honored the country with gold medals.
