Rodong Sinmun Refutes U.S.-touted Fiction of "Nuclear Bombing"

Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, U.S. Senator Rubio widely expected to be the next presidential candidate from the U.S. Republican Party said north Korea has access to nukes and even missiles capable of reaching the U.S. mainland and that after 10 years it would make a nuclear bomb attack on California or western coastal area of the mainland. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a commentary says in this regard: The U.S. has stockpiled the greatest number of nukes in the world and made inter-continental ballistic missile launches and nuclear tests incomparably more than any other countries. But it brands the DPRK as an "assailant" of threat, finding fault with the latter over its launching of several rockets, not befitting a "superpower." This is just the scoff of the world. The U.S. termed the DPRK's regular rocket launching drills a "provocation" and is now spreading even a fiction of "nuclear bombing" on its mainland. Lurking behind this is its sinister intention. This is a childish jealousy and last-ditched effort of those taken aback by the self-defensive capabilities, great vitality of socialism and overall national power of the DPRK. Those regarding the DPRK's successful building of a thriving nation as a nightmare and the U.S. regarding the DPRK as a thorn in its flesh are trembling with fear. That is why the U.S. is shuddering. The U.S. has nothing to say even if we launch more powerful missiles. Nuclear weapons are not a monopoly of the U.S. It had better behave with discretion. |
