The statement said that the recent rocket launching drills conducted by units of the Strategic Force of the Korean People's Army according to their regular training plans are entirely the just self-defensive actions on the territorial air and waters and land of the DPRK to defend the country and the people and safeguard the regional peace. It went on:

The U.S. is describing its war exercises for aggression in the land of other country as "defensive" and "annual" but terming the DPRK's just self-defensive drills in its own land "provocation". This is the height of the U.S. arrogant and shameless acts.

Whenever an opportunity presents itself, the U.S. has deliberately escalated tensions on the Korean peninsula under absurd pretexts.

The U.S. had better stop acting rashly, not forgetting even a moment that all the service personnel and people of the DPRK are whetting bayonets of hatred and retaliation to resolutely settle accounts with the U.S., which caused the painful nearly 70 year-long-history of national division.
