Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- Passive solar heating has been introduced on a wide scale in the DPRK. The Central Heating Institute under the Ministry of Urban Management has pushed ahead with introducing the system into dwelling houses and public buildings. In this regard, Ko Myong Sok, a section chief of the institute, told KCNA: The passive solar heating is very economic as it is low in material consumption. The solar heating is mainly based on endothermic paints which are very effective in raising indoor temperature. It has been applied to some apartments and public buildings in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang. |
