Terming the on-going U.S.-south Korea military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle a real provocation and threat to the DPRK, the statement said:

The U.S. justifies its war drills for aggression as "defensive and annual ones" though it is staging them in other country's land with a sinister purpose while describing the justifiable self-defensive drills conducted by the KPA in its own land as a "provocation". This is the brazen-faced U.S.-style standards.

It is the arrogant behavior of the U.S. which is fond of accusing others and praising itself.

Secretary of State Kerry labeled the DPRK a "country of evils." His outburst is a shameless provocation, too.

The U.S. imperialists seek to escalate the tension again under the pretext of the KPA's self-defensive rocket-launching drills, vociferating about the "same sanctions" slapped against Iran and "more stringent blockade."

This is an open aggressive move.

We fully support the statement of the spokesman for the KPA Strategic Force and vehemently assail the U.S. provocation and threat to the DPRK.

We, at the same time, denounce the U.S. for its string of balderdash that the north-south relations can be mended only when the north dismantles its nuclear weapons first and there will be dialogue and improved relations between the U.S. and north Korea only when the latter moves first.

The U.S. had better scrap its arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and withdraw its troops from south Korea, to begin with, before letting loose such rhetoric.
