In this regard, Kim Mun Song, a department director of the Central Committee of the Association, told KCNA:

The forthcoming symposium will be a significant get-together of compatriot medical scientists who are willing to make contributions to the development of the nation's medical science and technology. A number of medical scientists at home and abroad have applied for attending it.

The symposium, divided into basic, preventive, internal and surgical medicines, will share the achievements and experience conducive to developing the nation's medical science.

It also envisages lecture, collective surgical operation, hands-on training as well as sightseeing of scenic spots.

The Association is now pressing ahead with preparations for the successful symposium.
