Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, said at the rally held in Lima City on Mar. 7 to mark the 51st anniversary of the Front and the March 8 International Women's Day:

The WPK and the Korean people have covered the victorious path in carrying out the socialist cause under the leadership of the prominent leaders.

The DPRK is a great country with powerful national power.

It manufactured a satellite and put it into orbit by its own efforts and with its own technique. It is an invincible power with self-defensive capacities capable of protecting the destiny of the country and nation from the enemies' invasion.

We extend support and solidarity to the WPK and the Korean people in their struggle for protecting socialism against the U.S. imperialists.

The chairperson of the Peruvian committee for remembering Generalissimo Kim Jong Il said:

Women in the DPRK have the equal right with men and fulfill their responsibility and role as performers of the revolution and masters of society.

On the March 8 International Women's Day we deeply recollect the undying exploits of Kang Pan Sok, mother of Korea, and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk who dedicated their all to the women's emancipation movement.

All women and progressives in the world including Peru will always remember the great feats of Kang Pan Sok and Kim Jong Suk.
