Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- The Meari Shooting Gallery has taken its shape in Chongchun Street here as a public service centre for the popular masses. It is associated with the devoted efforts made by the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and supreme leader Kim Jong Un to provide the people with better living conditions. The gallery was built in February Juche 85 (1996) under the deep care of Kim Jong Il. He took measures for supply of materials needed to build this comprehensive and modern shooting gallery in a short period and settled all problems arising in its operation, sending scores of video-game apparatuses to it. In February 2012, Kim Jong Un visited the gallery, setting the tasks to improve it associated with feats of Kim Jong Il. He said that its indoor firing range should be renovated for the convenience of spectators. And he added that the shooting targets should be remodeled to move automatically so that shooters can see their marks and that the point of impact and its assessment should be displayed on a computer basis. The supreme leader also stressed that outdoor firing range should be bettered and different shapes of targets displayed. He underscored the need for the gallery to improve its management and service and thus contribute to the people's cultural and emotional life. Thanks to his energetic guidance, the gallery has turned into a modern service center, flawless in formative artistic representation, too. |
