Minju Joson Terms U.S. Talk about "Denuclearization" Hypocritical

Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- The U.S. recently carried out the test of a new-type nuclear bomb, an improved version of B-61 in New Mexico State, according to foreign press reports. This bomb is to be reportedly deployed in various NATO member nations in Europe in the future. This stands in sharp contrast to U.S. President Obama's idea of building a "world without nuclear weapons", says Minju Joson Tuesday in an article. The U.S. seeks to hold an unchallenged edge in the field of strategic nuclear force and thus realize its ambition for world supremacy by relying on it. The U.S. regards it as a top priority task to cut down and adjust the existing nuclear force to this end, the article says, and goes on: The U.S., therefore, is going over to a more efficient system for maintenance and management of nuclear force as it makes it possible to significantly raise the operational capabilities by preferring the improvement of the quality of the nuclear force to its quantity and by improving its performance. What should not be overlooked is the fact that the U.S. seeks to craftily veil the change in its nuclear policy with the "will for denuclearization" and weaken the nuclear operational capabilities of other countries. The U.S. moves to manufacture more modern nuclear weapons and proliferate them to different parts of the world are an unethical act of plunging the world into the whirlwind of the Cold War again and sparking a nuclear arms race. It is as clear as noonday that those countries exposed to the grave strategic threat of the U.S. will opt for bolstering nuclear force to cope with it. No one can say that this will not lead to the horrible tragedy called conflict of nuclear force. The U.S. should stop at once the dangerous military act of threatening the existence of mankind. |
