Rodong Sinmun Accuses U.S. of Its Hostile Policy toward DPRK

Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- The U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has laid a stumbling block in the way for Korea's reunification and unity of all Koreans, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a bylined article. The article goes on: The Korean nation is a homogeneous nation, rare to be found in the world, which has lived in one territory for five thousand years. There is no reason for it to be divided into two parts in the light of its lineage, history and culture. The division of the Korean nation is entirely attributable to the U.S. heinous and wild ambition to dominate Korea. Even in the 21st century when independence has become a worldwide trend after the end of the Cold War, the U.S. has not abandoned its ulterior design to check the reunification of Korea while justifying its illegal occupation of south Korea. The U.S. reckless acts against the DPRK have seriously harassed peace on the Korean peninsula and caused extreme tensions that may lead to a war any moment. The U.S. has desperately pursued its hostile policy toward the DPRK, blocking the reunification of Korea and the reconciliation and unity of Koreans in all aspects. That is why the inter-Korean relations have faced trials, not making a fundamental progress. In order to achieve durable peace on the Korean peninsula and accomplish the historic cause of Korea's reunification, it is necessary to thoroughly smash the U.S. vicious hostile policy toward the DPRK, to begin with. |
