Confidence and Confrontation Can Never Go Together: Overseas Koreans Organization

Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- An article demanding the south Korean authorities sincerely come out for mending the north-south relations was posted by the Society for Cooperation among Koreans in Germany on its website on March 15. The south Korean authorities' betrayal attitude toward the issue of the north-south relations is disappointing Koreans, the article said, and went on: When an opportunity presents itself, the south Korean authorities talk about "confidence" but persist in mud-slinging escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen, Now the south Korean authorities are talking about a "report" cooked up by a plot-breeding organization under the UN Human Rights Council, claiming that to accuse the north of its human rights issue is not a mud-slinging. The "report" with "reliable data" touted by them was cooked up to please the U.S. to realize the international cooperation for stifling the DPRK from A to Z as it is based on "evidence" of human scum who defected to the south, abandoning their parents, wives and children after committing crimes and swindles. The south Korean conservative media, obsessed with confrontation frenzy, are getting hell-bent on invectives against the DPRK, continuing to spread false stories of human scum. Riff-raffs of an organization of "defectors from the north" without elementary disposition of human being are appearing before media to improve their dirty images, letting loose invectives against the DPRK while distorting its reality they do not know properly and slandering even the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK just like a puppy knowing no fear of the tiger. Intolerable is the confrontation racket of the conservative media malignantly slandering the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and its social system while spreading such provocative outbursts which deserve the punishment of Heaven. Worse still, the south Korean authorities are conniving and patronizing this, talking about "freedom of speech". This is nothing but an all-out challenge to the aspiration and demand of the nation. Confidence and confrontation can never go together. The inter-Korean relations will not be mended and tensions be escalated as long as the south Korean authorities are talking about "confidence" but, in actuality, resorting to confrontation with fellow countrymen while misleading public opinion with deceptive wordplay. The south Korean authorities should behave themselves at a responsible time whether the north-south relations will improve in line with the aspiration and demand of the nation or not. |
