The preparatory committee comprises prominent public figures of Russia with Chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK V. A. Petrov as its chairman.

The preparatory committee decided to hold such colorful political and cultural events as meeting, seminar and photo exhibition praising the noble revolutionary life and undying feats of the President on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
