Present there were Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission who doubles as chairman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and members of the committee.

Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK German Hermin Ferras Alvarez and his embassy officials were on hand.

The meeting reviewed the work done by the committee over the past one year to boost the friendship and solidarity with the fraternal Cuban people in their dynamic struggle to protect the sovereignty and socialist gains of the country, courageously frustrating the sanctions and blockade of the U.S. imperialists under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba.

It also discussed a working plan to boost the bonds of militant friendship and cooperation between the two countries this year.
