The meeting reviewed the work done by the committee last year and discussed the orientation of its work for this year.

A report by Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports who doubles as chairman of the committee, was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that supreme leader Kim Jong Un indicated orientation and ways for the development of sports and showed so warm loving care for those sportspersons who exalted the honor of the country that they will remember it generation after generation.

They referred to the fact that the DPRK players made successes in the international games.

They called for dynamically raising a strong wind of mass sports across the country, channeling great efforts into the development of technique in various sports events and boosting cooperation with international sports bodies to register greater successes in the nation's sports.
